Gear Up for a Thru-Hike: What 3,000 Miles Taught Me about Choosing Gear.

The Story of the AdAmAn Club - with Book Signing & 'AdAmAn Alley' Tour
- Even Timings
Description
It all started in 1923, when five Colorado Springs men, later known as the “The Frozen Five”, climbed Pikes Peak in the dead of winter on New Year’s Eve and launched fireworks to mark the beginning of an annual Pikes Peak holiday tradition now followed by thousands of spectators throughout the region each year.
Come join us to hear the rest of the story as Mountain Chalet and the Pikes Peak AdAmAn Club are pleased to host, “The History of the AdAmAn Club” presented by Donald Sanborn (Member No. 85).
Bringing the Club to life, Don will delve into exactly how the Club got started and share some of the most interesting activities of the Club over its 100-year history. We'll even enjoy a video from 1959 taken by Jim Bates, one of the Club's members.
The new 100th Anniversary books will be available and AdAmAn members who contributed to the book's creation will be on hand to sign your copy.
And best of all, the evening will be capped off with a tour through the new AdAmAn Alley - just a block south of Mountain Chalet - to enjoy the night time video projection and LED fireworks experience.
Please RSVP to let us know you're coming and we'll save you a seat (or more)!
We look forward to seeing you here.
