Return Policy

In Store and Online

NO RETURNS, CREDITS, OR EXCHANGES on climbing equipment or avalanche safety equipment.

NO RETURNS, CREDITS, OR EXCHANGES on food, fuel, or magazines.

NO RETURNS, CREDITS, OR EXCHANGES on demo, rental, used, or consignment items.

NO RETURNS, CREDITS, OR EXCHANGES on any item purchased discounted 50% or greater from MSRP.

CREDIT OR EXCHANGE ONLY on any item purchased within 30 days discounted up to 49% from MSRP.

Items returned within 30 days of purchase are eligible for return, credit, or exchange.  Eligible items must be unused with original packaging with receipt.  All item will be inspected for use, wear and tear, damage, or missing parts.

Accepted eligible returns shall be refunded.  All refunds greater than $100 shall be by credit card or check only.  Refunds issued by credit card may take up to 10 business days to appear on your credit statement.


Online Only

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you subject to policies stated above.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return. 

To return your product, you should mail your product to: 15 N Nevada Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO, 80903, United States. 

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund. 

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary. 

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.



Unless damaged or defective at time of purchase, ALL items returned for damage or defect will be treated as a warranty claim.  ALL warranty claims will be determined by Vendor.  The Vendor reserves the right to deny the claim or repair or replace the item. 

Any item submitted for warranty that was not purchased at Mountain Chalet shall be charged a $25.00 fee for processing and shipping.
