Mountain Chalet is a local, independent technical outdoor outfitter that was established in downtown Colorado Springs in 1968. We are a team of experts that utilize our experience and knowledge to provide authentic customer service. Mountain Chalet has relationships and access to every major outdoor manufacturer as well as partners in acquiring unique outdoor gear not distributed in the United States. We are also experts in technical gear selecting, custom fitting, repair, and management. For 50+ years we have had the privilege of serving the local military mountaineering community back to the original 10th Mountain Division. We do regular GPC and contracts with most Special Forces Mountaineering users to include 10th, 7th, 5th, 3rd, 1st, 19th, and 20th Special Forces Groups. We have also worked closely with the Special Operations Mountain Warfare Training Center, and 10th Winter Warfare Detachment. This has given us unique knowledge of the military mountaineering requirement and helped us provide expert training, consultation, and guidance to many military mountaineering users.
