Location and Access

Coming from Colorado Springs take exit 161 on I-25 in Monument and head west for Mt. Herman Road.  It will eventually turn to dirt and though it's generally not too bad a vehicle with a little clearance can be best.  The "trailhead" to the boulders is about 1.8 miles from where the pavement stops at a wide spot in the road.  The road continues on west into the Rampart Range, but the boulders are just west and up from this wide spot in the road.
